What are Cosmoderm^TM and Cosmoplast^TM ?
Cosmoderm^TM and Cosmoplast^TM are injectable collagens used as soft tissue fillers. They are sterile and composed of highly purified human based collagen produced from cell culture. Unlike bovine collagen fillers, Cosmoderm^TM and Cosmoplast^TM do not require pre-treatment skin testing for allergy.

How are Cosmoderm^TM and Cosmoplast^TM used?
Just like many of the injectible fillers, Cosmoderm^TM and Cosmoplast^TM are liquid fillers that are implanted through a fine gauge needle into the skin. They are used to elevate a depressed scar or wrinkle so that it becomes more level with the surrounding skin, and thus, less noticeable. Remember, just like any other injectable collagen product, the improvement produced by Cosmoderm^TM and Cosmoplast^TM is temporary, and can last from 4 to 6 months and as long as 12 months.

What is Fascian^TM ?
Fascian^TM is another type of human derive injectable collagen that is generated from the tendinous sheath of cadaveric thighs (i.e., the fascia lata, hence the name Fascian^TM ). Fascian^TM is distributed as a powder and must be reconstitued with normal saline before it can be injected. Because of its dense chemical composition, injections of Fascian^TM can last up to one year.
