Dr. Anthony V. Benedetto after completing his internship, residency and surgical training at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, returned to Philadelphia in 1978 to begin his practice in dermatologic surgery. He was the first physician in Pennsylvania to practice Mohs surgery for skin cancer. In 1983, he opened the Dermatologic SurgiCenter at 12th and Locust Streets, the first privately operated certified ambulatory surgery center in Philadelphia.

In 1992, the second Dermatologic SurgiCenter was opened in Drexel Hill, PA. Both the Center City and the Drexel Hill ambulatory surgery centers are certified not only by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (MMS), but also are accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).

Dr. Ernest A. Benedetto after completing his internship and residencies in internal medicine and dermatology also at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, returned to Philadelphia to join his brother at the Dermatologic SurgiCenter in the practice of Dermatologic surgery and Mohs surgery for skin cancer.
